National Parks Week – Visit For Free

Phew, that was a close call…. the  potential government shut down could have put an end to National Parks Week!  But all is well (for the moment) and it’s time to show a little love for our splendid National Parks by visiting during National Parks Week scheduled for April 16-24, 2011.  And it’s very appropriate that Earth Day is celebrated during National Parks Week as well – on April 22nd.  With nearly 400 National Parks there should be several nearby no matter where in the United States you live. Use the Park Service’s convenient Find-A-Park reference to find parks near you and visit with the whole family.
