Introduction To The Sandpearl Resort
Being greeted by a welcoming staff with offers of Champaign or Mimosas sets the tone for our stay. Immediately our eyes were drawn to the windows where the sparkling gulf waters await at the edge of a magnificent white-sand beach. A sense of tranquility washes over us as we ascend to our elegant guest room. We were fortunate to have a room overlooking the beach and the view was spectacular.
Having arrived quite late in the evening, we went directly to dinner where we were greeted by Angel (and she was). First, she inquired whether our dinning pleasure would be light dining or fine dining. We opt for fine dining and it was the perfect choice. Greeted by Sondra, who proceeded to welcome us and explain the menu, stressing we could switch anything on the menu or request the food to be prepared according to any dietary restrictions we might require. I am not a big bread eater, but with Sondra’s encouragement, we tried the bread, that was so delicious it could have been my entire meal. Our dinner of simply prepared gulf fish was wonderful and you could taste the freshness in all the ingredients. Coupled with dramatic views of the beach and setting sun, it was a memorable evening.

Their Ozone UV system provides healthier water and enables the swimming pool to be chlorine free.
Emission controls are a concern for their underground parking space; so bikes and bus passes are provided to all the guests to use rather than removing their cars during their stay. Everything is recycled including the trash, which is sorted for recycling. “It is not only about saving money, it is about being an Eco-Friendly property and providing the “healthiest” environment for our guests”, stated Brian. A walk through the laundry tells you how healthy the property is, not the usual laundry-bleach smell. The entire culture of the property is eco-friendly and you feel it the minute you walk through the door.

After a restful night’s sleep, we spent the morning at the Sandpearl Spa. As most of our readers know, we have written about numerous spas and each one is unique . For me it is all about the treatments, and the Spa at the Sandpearl met the challenge. We experienced the Enlightenment treatment, which works on all of the senses to boost your emotional well-being while treating the entire body. The Enlightenment treatment is the epitome of relaxation and wellness. Unlike other spa treatments, which relax you for a day or so, this treatment lasted the entire week.
