Calling All Serious BBQ Fans – Brooklyn NY Is The Place To Be Next Weekend 9/13-14!
I can almost smell the aroma of grilling meat now! For everyone who just can’t get enough of the charred, finger-licking goodness of summer BBQ, your nirvana will be in Brooklyn next weekend at the Taste Talks All-Star BBQ where grilling masters will set up for a three day food obsessesive weekend. On Sunday, September 14th, the East River State Park will become a waterfront BBQ mecca as 25 of America’s trendiest chefs will gather to show off their grilling skills and talk some serious BBQ throw-down smack.
The entire weekend, in fact, will be foodie’s dream come true, as Taste Talks Brooklyn returns for it’s second year. Mario Batali and Danny Bowien will captain a weekend full of specialty dinners, panel discussions, demo’s, workshops and The Future of Taste Expo (free admission with RSVP), with all events taking place in Brooklyn. Any serious foodie shouldn’t miss the elite gathering of chefs, restauranteurs and food purveyors, all sharing their skills and predicting future food trends in America.
For the first time ever, the Future Food Expo will take place at Colossal Media from 12pm – 6pm on September 13th and 14th. Entry is free with an advanced RSVP. Participants will be introduced to trending food products, innovating companies, startups, technology, and food designers. What’s new in print will also be a focus with book signings by cookbook authors including, Jamie Bissonnette, Sara Moulton, Sarah Zorn and many others.
On Sunday, September 14, East River State Park will be blanketed with serving stations manned by some of America’s top chefs including, Danny Bowien (Mission Chinese); Jamie Bissonnette (Toro); Inaki Aizpitarte (Le Chateaubriand, Le Dauphin); Rob Newton (Wilma Jean and Nightingale 9); Oliver Strand (New York Times); David Santos (Louro); Jonathan Wu (Fung Tu); Max Sussman (The Cleveland); Eli Sussman (Mile End); Michael White (Osteria Morini); Action Bronson (Musician); Will Horowitz (Ducks Eatery); Daniel Delaney (Delaney BBQ, BrisketTown); Lee Tiernan (Black Axe Mangal); Andy Ricker (Pok Pok); Ivan Orkin (Ivan Ramen); Brooks Headley (Del Posto); Matt Rudofker (Ssam Bar); Josh Russ Tupper; and Niki Russ Federman (Russ & Daughters).
