Auli, popularly also known as Auli Bugyal, is a destination located in Chamoli district in Uttarakhand among the Himalayan Mountains. This place which is surrounded by coniferous and oak forests lies in the way to the famous and well-known Hindu pilgrimage destination- Badrinath. Auli is offers great scenic beauty and to make it even more mesmerizing it allows its tourists a view of the peaks of the strong and elegant peaks of the Himalayas.

Apart from all the site-seeing, the place also offers adventurous sport of Skiing. Other attractions in Auli and around are- Vishnu Prayag, Jashnimath, Badrinath and Tapovan. The place is best between January to March, whereby the visitors can enjoy the snow and skiing.

Often known as ‘Little Kashmir’, Munsiyari is situated in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand state. The literal meaning of Munsiyari is snow and thus, this place located at an altitude of 2298 meters has snow capped peaks of Himalayas. The place also offers to its tourists the view of magnificent and breath-taking valleys. Among the major attractions in Munsiyari, the most famous peak- Panchachuli. As the name signifies, it is group of five peaks shaped as chimneys. Apart from these peaks, Musiyari has Nandadevi, Nandakot, Rajarambha and the ever-lasting mountains of Nepal Himalayas. The ritual of site- seeing also involves village tourism and bird watching. Apart from this, the Namik Glacier Trek in Munsiyar offers exciting sport activities.

Almora is famously known as the cultural capital of Kumaon. The place is situated on a mountain range of 5kms with an altitude of 1650 meters. Almora has had a rich history which is reflected in the architecture of the old forts, historical monuments and royal courts that are still managed. This point at the fact as to how this place has maintained its old customs and traditions which are closely visible in the structure of houses and roads built. All this offers a glorious study of the past dwelled in the richness of culture, along with charming scenic views.

Almora is encircled by Kaushiki (Koshi) and Shalmali (Suyal) rivers and is safeguarded with the great snow of the Himalayas.

Lachung is a famous town situation in the northern parts of Sikkim. The town offers attractive snow capped peaks and is located at an elevation of 9600 feet or 3000 meters. The place provides historic impressions with monasteries like, Lachung Gompa which gives way to beautiful and ancient inscriptions from the glorifying past.

Other than this, Lachung provides adventure sports for daring tourists, such as, trekking and skiing.

The best time to visit this place and enjoy the snowfall is from January to June and again from October to December.

Located at an elevation of approximately 3048 meters or 10000feet, this place is situated in the northwest part of Arunachal Pradesh. As for the entire of Arunachal Pradesh, the tourists require to take special Inner Line Permit (ILP) which is issued by concerned government body to get into the core of this town. Tawang offers ski lift to its visitors along with the beauty of snowfall, which can be enjoyed from December to January.
