The market is open from 10 to 5 and might be closed when the weather is bad. Vendors only take cash. The market is on a dry river bed, thus the name.

Get away to an inland lake

There are several lakes near Tbilisi and they are worth seeing. The most beautiful lake is Lisi Lake. There is a green zone next to it that is home to a beach, snack shop, and lounge. When you visit Lisi Lake, you can see a lovely view of the mountains to the west.

See the Open Air Museum of Ethnography

If you want to learn about the ethnic cultures in Georgia, this museum should be on your list. It includes more than 8,000 artifacts from George including different houses and a basilica from the ethnic areas around the country. You can visit on your own, or take a guided tour. The museum has its own restaurant that serves Georgian food.

Eat

Exploring a culture must include eating authentic, local food. In Tbilisi, that includes eating churchkhela, a delicious Georgian confection that includes walnuts and concentrated grape juice. You should also try khinkali, a soup dumpling. Don’t forget to try the Kharcho, which is similar to the Georgian version of chili. Georgian food is richly spiced and loaded comfortable ingredients.

Indulge in a sulfur bath

The name Tbilisi translates to “warm place”. The town was thusly named because of the sulfur-heated hot springs. Once these were discovered, ancient entrepreneurs marketed the warm waters as being therapeutic. Visitor came from miles away to indulge themselves in the warm, healing waters. Go to the Mtatsminda Park

This park offers a view that is second-to-none. It is the highest point in Tbilisis. The park is also home to amusements like a rollercoaster, Ferris Wheel, and a water park. It might not offer old-world culture, but the park does offer a fun way to spend the day with a glorious view of the city. Mtatsminda Park was founded by the Soviets in the 1930s and you can reach it on a funicular that easily manages the steep incline to the park.
