Australia is an enthralling and vibrant place to visit.  The country features captivating and mesmerizing landscapes ranging from vast savannahs to pristine rainforests, to magnificent coastal beaches and the largest coral reefs on earth. In addition to that, Australia has an abundance of unique lifeforms.

Australia provides an astounding variety and diversity of views and experiences for visitors. Uluru and the Red Centre

Uluru is a sandstone monolith formation in the Red Center of Australia just outside of the town of Ayers Rock.  Uluru is a sacred site to the Anangu, one of the Pitjantjatjara, Aboriginal people. Visitors for centuries have been fascinated by it’s changing color appearance from sunrise to sunset.  For instance, it appears to have a glowing red color at dawn and  sunset. Star gazing in this area is considered to be some of the best in the world due to the absence of ambient light from nearby settlements.

The Red Centre is a place of remarkable landscapes from mountain ranges, desert plains, and rocky gorges. It encompasses the entirety of Alice Springs, Kata Tjuṯa, the Kings Canyon, and Uluru area.  This a must visit place to visit to learn about the indigenous Aboriginal people of Australia.

Lucky Bay And Wharton Beaches

Located on the southern coast of western Australia, Wharton Beach and Lucky Bay are two famous and unique tourist spots. Renowned for their white sand beaches, and beautiful turquoise-colored waters, the two places attract visitors from tourist to locals alike. Fitzroy Island

Located off the shore of Cape Grafton in Queensland, Fitzroy Island is a beautiful tropical island. Hutt Lagoon (Pink Lake In Western Australia)

The Pink Lake is a famous Salt Lake in Western Australia’s Goldfields-Esperance region. It features an appealing pink hue owing to its unique salt concentration. The color of the water varies according to rainfall and other environmental conditions with much of the lagoon drying up in hot summer months when the color intensifies.  The reasons behind the lake’s color are complex and they depend on specific weather conditions and external changes.

Moreton Island

Located near Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Moreton Island is the third largest sand island in the world.  A significant portion of the land, almost 95%, remains in its natural state and protected within a national park. Moreton Island is a popular vacation spot and tourist destination for four-wheelers, day-trippers, and campers, that can be reached by a pleasnat ferry ride from Brisbane in just over an hour.

There are a wide variety of exciting activities here for visitors to enjoy on Moreton Island.  These whale watching, fishing, zipping down sand dunes, petting friendly wild dolphins, and snorkeling over a man-made reef of sunken ships.  On top of that, Moreton Island is renowned for many more sports and amusements including bird watching, parasailing, diving, and more.  You will never be at a loss of exciting activites on this island!

Exmouth

Located at the tip of the northwestern cape on the west coast of Australia, Exmouth is a popular  seaside resort and port town that attracts thousands of visitors each year. It remains under the ownership and management of the National Trust and lies on the town’s northern outskirts. In addition, the eastern edge of Exmouth has the Barn. Arnhem Land

Located at the top of Australia’s Northern Territory, Arnhem Land is a famous historical region that is the ancient home of the Aboriginal people who reside in a significant portion of the region.

The land is highly noteworthy for its unsettled and wild landscape that has remained almost the same over centuries. It features dusty and red rock formations, enscarpments and sprawling wetlands that provide a picturesque scene.  This is the home of  the Yolngu Aborniginal people.  Permits are required to visit. Kosciuszko Tourist Park in Jindabyne
