Make the Most of Your Dominican Republic Vacation With Fun Adventures
It’s time to get away and forget about work for a while. The Dominican Republic is the perfect destination for your next vacation, but don’t trap yourself in tourist hotspots Punta Cana or Puerto Plata. Instead, experience more of the Dominican Republic with some fun activities like chartering a yacht to visit the whole island from the Caribbean Sea.
Vacationing on a Yacht
If you’ve been curious as to why all the actors, musicians and other celebrities spend their vacations on yachts, then it’s about time you tried it for yourself. You can go with family or friends, as you like. Either way, you will get to spend a week that you will never forget when you choose a yacht charter in Caribbean. It will change the way you travel completely. At night you will be gently rocked to sleep by the waves on the sea. During the day you can glide from one port to another, sailing in the evening or early morning, to make the most out of your charter.
Visit Santo Domingo
Where was America first discovered? The answer is: Santo Domingo. This is where Christopher Columbus first set foot on this side of the world after crossing over from Europe. Walking in his steps, you will discover a modern city that still possesses its old colonial architectural charm. In these beautiful buildings, you will be able to eat at restaurants, browse in local shops, and immerse yourself in the history with museums. In other words, wandering the streets of this wonderful little city will be more than enough for everyone, for a day’s worth, at least.

If you’ve always wanted to learn how to kitesurf, then here’s the place. Kite beach is a leisurely walk from the centre of town, but you can’t miss it. An abundance of colours clouds the sky as kites take flight over the water. This is a kaleidoscope world inside the Dominican Republic. The crowd, made of kiter flyers, but also runners and surfers, is dynamic, but with a cool and relaxed attitude. You can spend a great day there before replenishing yourself with a some of the local delicacies in one of the restaurants nearby.
Take the Cable Car in Puerto Plata

An island needs to be seen from the air if you want to really appreciate its beauty, and that is exactly what you can do from the cable car in Puerto Plata. We recommend jumping in and heading to the top of Pico Isabel de Torres when the weather gets really hot on the ground. Upon arrival at the top, you’ll be greeted by the cool, refreshing air after enjoying the view all along the 800 meters of the ride. Be sure to take a good look (and some photos) of the famous statue of Christ the Redeemer, while you are there.
