Coral Bay

Known as the “Gateway to St. John” – Coral Bay is home to a small but bustling town that has a lot to offer visitors. The snorkeling here is some of the best in the entire U.S Virgin Islands., with clear waters and coral reefs teeming with colorful fish and other sea creatures.

And if you want to get out on the water, there are plenty of charter boats available for rental or guided tours.If you’re looking for adventure, there are many trails that lead into the jungle and even some caves to explore! Coral Bay also has several beaches within walking distance of town (and they are gorgeous!).

Cinnamon Bay is another popular spot on St. John—so popular that it’s home to an entire national park!  This area has clear waters perfect for snorkeling or boating, along with hiking trails that lead through beautiful forests filled with birdsong and other natural sounds of nature at its finest.

Go snorkeling: Snorkeling is one of the most popular activities on St John as well as being one of the easiest ways to observe marine life up close. The waters off St John are teeming with colorful fish and other creatures that will keep you entertained for hours!

If you want to get off of the beach, there are plenty of trails that are perfect for hiking or running. You can also venture over to Trunk Bay, which has a gorgeous white sand beach and snorkeling spots right off the shoreline.  If you’re looking for something more adventurous, try climbing one of the local mountains! The views are breathtaking and there are plenty of places where you can stop along the way to take pictures or just relax while taking in all of its beauty.

Alternatively, you can hike the Cinnamon Bay Trail: This trail is for all levels of hikers and is a great way to get some exercise on your vacation. The trail is about 2 miles long and leads you through the forest and along the beach, where you can stop to take in the views.
