It is a magical mix of rich history, fashionable boutiques, celebrated boulevards, and enchanting neighborhoods which attract visitors from all over the world. It is not so difficult to go on a romantic trip to Paris, because inviting places and excellent tourist infrastructure distinguish this city. To help you sort out all your questions and have a happy journey, I have compiled 5 tips for an unforgettable honeymoon in Paris.
Plan Your Tour In Advance
It would take more than a book to list the popular sights of Paris. Undoubtedly, the must-see list I recommend to you include the majestic Louvre Museum, the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Les Invalides, and the Sainte-Chapelle. You will no doubt want to spend time wandering through the charming Saint-Germain quarter, the old Marais district, picturesque Montmartre, and the Latin Quarter with the most impressive Museum of the Middle Ages, the oldest university in France – the Sorbonne, and the Pantheon.
As you discover Paris, pay special attention to those places that offer the best views of the city. When planning a trip, try to think over the routes of your walks in advance. We have used one of the many mobile apps for travel planning. There you will find information about the most exciting places in Paris, an offline city map with GPS navigation, as well as exciting audio tours.

Discover Free Paris
Here’s my best advice for a low honeymoon fund. Access to the collections of Paris public museums is entirely free and all year round. We have visited the Paris Museum of Modern Art (Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris), Victor Hugo’s House (Maison de Victor Hugo), the Museum of Romantic Life (Musée de la Vie Romantique) and some others.
In addition to museums in Paris, there are many other honeymoon ideas available for free. Almost all Paris churches and cathedrals can be visited for free. Moreover, in some of them, you can even listen to the organ or choir recitals. For example, we have visited the old church of Saint-Eustache that houses the largest organ in France. Organ concerts are held every Sunday from 5.30 to 6.00 pm. Be sure to include a visit to Sacre Coeur perched high on a hilltop in Montmartre. It is an experience you will not soon forget. Sit on the steps and enjoy the dramatic views over the city of Paris.
Most parks and public gardens in Paris are also free of charge. As you can see, this magical city can be enjoyed without visiting expensive places.
Revisit Childhood Together
Even though newlyweds are adults, everyone still wants to return to childhood, at least in a while. To recapture the magic of childhood, just visit Disneyland Paris! Fairy castles, favorite cartoon characters, performances, and ice cream – this day will be an unforgettable experience to share together.
Complete Three Romantic Challenges
To give each other unforgettable romantic moments, I advise you to try these three classic Paris honeymoon tips. Try repeating romantic movie scenes in these locations.
Climb the Eiffel Tower
The symbol of Paris is very popular among newlyweds. Enjoy the iconic restaurants with the finest French cuisine, excellent French wines, an observation deck where you can overlook the whole city… The best time to visit the Eiffel Tower is in the evening. The tower itself is specially illuminated at this time. Flickering lights give it additional magic. The cost of the entrance ticket is about 14 Euros. You can also order a romantic lunch or dinner. Be sure to make your reservations well in advance.
Take a Boat Trip on the Seine River
Indulge in gourmet French cuisine, softly burning candles, live music, and sparkling views of Paris – what could be more romantic? After your evening dinner cruise, walks along the Seine river banks are especially beautiful when illuminated with colorful lights. Steal a kiss under one of the many bridges as music from riverboats floats through the air.
The departure of river steamers is every day from mid-day to well into the evening. The cost of a romantic lunch is 50-80 Euros, with the evening trip costing more – a romantic dinner will cost you 90-200 Euros (depending on the level of service and the program you have chosen). Or you can just take one of the many Seine riverboat excursions and enjoy a meal at a nearby restaurant. Wonderful affordable choices abound on the Left Bank.
Kiss under the Marie Bridge
The ancient arched bridge, built in the 17th century, is named after the engineer Christophe Marie. There is a local legend about the bridge: if lovers kiss under the bridge, they will never part, and their love will only grow stronger from year to year. You can rent a boat to kiss under the bridge. Another romantic option is to take a river tram ride on the Seine and kiss at the moment when the tram passes under the bridge. Or just go down under the bridge and kiss on the bank as we did.
Conclusion
If you’ve chosen one of the best honeymoon destinations to make your dream come true, a time full of romance awaits you. Plan it and enjoy each other and your love. I recommend that you follow the standard safety precautions on your trip and do not lose your head so that troubles do not ruin your vacation.
Enjoy Paris and love each other!
