Sailing Through The Caribbean – Star Clipper Trip Report

Last winter Clint and I were gazing out to sea at sunset from a funky beach bar on St. Kitts. Off in the distance was the most beautiful sailing ship gliding majestically through the bay with soft sunlight reflecting off its billowing sails. Right then and there I knew I had to get on that ship! A bit of detective work determined that the gorgeous 4 masted schooner was one of Star Clipper's sailing ships and you guessed it... this winter we went sailing with Star Clipper on a journey through the Leeward Islands of the Caribbean. Join me on this memorable journey:

Unique Hawaii – A Local Expert Shares His Secrets

While millions of tourists descend on this gorgeous state every year, I believe too few ever venture far from their hotel's beach or the tried-and-true tourist attractions to see the true beauty of the islands. This is a real shame, as the Hawaiian Islands have many more truly special sites that can make a lasting impression on those willing to make a little effort to seek them out.

Postcard From Paphos – Top Reasons to Put This Destination on Your Wish List

What do you look for in a holiday? A 5 star resort with heated swimming pools and an exotic bar open 24 hours a day? Everybody is different, but whatever your idea of a good holiday is, consider a visit to Paphos. Here are top reasons to whet your appetite

Exuma Trifecta – Swimming With Stingrays, Sharks & Pigs!

The ever changing shades of aquamarine are stunning as we skip over the waves. Before long Captain Pat swings us around as he spots huge sting rays sweeping across the flats. Next stop - an amazing coral grotto big enough for us to enter boat and all. Our morning is spent zipping between one beautiful island to another, ogling at movie star's private cays and trying to out-race the occasional squall.

Paris Greeters Program – Meeting The Friendly French, No Kidding

Paris Greeters, a volunteer organization of amiable Parisians who look forward to welcoming visitors to their city are changing the impression that Paris is a less than friendly city, one tour at a time, every day. As Linda and I make our away across the city from the broad perfumed boulevards of the Champs Elysee to the gritty, lyrical lanes of the Left Bank, we are giddy with anticipation. We are about to meet a new friend that we met a few weeks ago online thanks to the Paris Greeters organization.
